Terms of Service

1. The Service

SteamForge AI provides tools to generate Steam store and marketing assets from user-supplied logos, art, metadata, and prompts. Features, credit allowances, and plan limits may change as we improve the product.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old (or older if required by local law).
• You must provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure.
• Authentication is provided by Clerk. Social login (Google, GitHub, etc.) is subject to those providers’ terms as well.

3. Plans, credits & billing

Free and paid plans include different credit pools, project limits, and features as described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe.

• Credits are consumed when you generate assets or enable paid AI features.
• Unless stated otherwise, unused Free-plan credits do not roll over; paid-plan credits refresh each billing cycle according to your plan.
• Taxes may apply. You authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions via the billing portal in the dashboard (or by contacting support).

4. Your content & inputs

You retain ownership of materials you upload (“Inputs”), including logos, art, screenshots, and text. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transform, and display Inputs solely to operate the Service for you (including generation, storage, previews, and downloads).

You represent that you have all rights needed to upload Inputs and to use them for game marketing, and that Inputs do not infringe third-party rights or violate Steam or other platform policies.

5. Generated assets

Subject to these Terms and your plan, you receive a commercial license to use assets generated for your games (“Outputs”), including Steam store capsules, library art, banners, and related marketing formats.

• Free-plan Outputs may include watermarks or export limitations as shown in the product.
• Paid-plan Outputs are provided without our watermark for your commercial game marketing, to the extent permitted by law and your Inputs’ rights.
• AI generations can be imperfect or similar across users; we do not guarantee uniqueness, trademark clearance, or Steam approval.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, infringing, or abusive content
• Attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, or security controls
• Reverse engineer or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service to generate malware, scams, or deceptive storefront fraud
• Resell the Service itself without our written permission
• Violate Steamworks, Discord, YouTube, or other platform content rules

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, branding, UI, documentation, and underlying software are owned by SteamForge AI and its licensors. Except for the rights expressly granted to you for Inputs/Outputs, no license is granted.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties (Clerk, Stripe, storage, AI vendors, Steam-related formats). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages or policy changes.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that Outputs will be accepted by Steam or any storefront, or that generation will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STEAMFORGE AI AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR USD $50 IF YOU ARE ON A FREE PLAN).

11. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your Inputs, Outputs you publish, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, non-payment, or risk to the Service. Upon termination, your right to access the dashboard ends; provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, liability limits, and indemnity) will survive.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
